60159 Longlife Red Kite
The Red Kite is a raptorial bird from the family of accipitrids. Its preferred habitats are agricultural landscapes with copses, as well as parks and structured forests that open up to fields and meadows; sometimes it is found in heath and moorland, given that there are trees as nesting sites. The males weigh an average of 1.1 kg (2.4 lbs) and the females 1.4 kg (3 lbs). The body length varies between 60 and 73 cm (23.6 and 28.7 inches) and the wings span from 150 to 171cm (59 to 67.3 inches).
